b. Purpose of Processing (Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR)
Personal data are collected and used for the following purposes:
b1. Management of portal registrations, enrolments and admissions, in order to provide information related to academic courses. For administrative purposes connected with the provision of academic services, including exams, grades and related activities. For sending institutional communications to students, including notices, updates and information related to the university’s academic and administrative activities. For research activities and to monitor and assess student participation in such activities. To provide access to library services and online resources necessary for study and research. To offer student support services, including academic assistance and counselling, as well as activities related to internships. To collect feedback from students to develop and improve university services and conduct market research. To fulfil legal or regulatory obligations, including those required by academic regulations. For participation in online lessons involving the processing of multimedia recordings (photos, audio and video) of participants, including for research and scientific dissemination purposes.
b2. For communications of commercial information and the sending of advertising/informative materials regarding goods and services considered similar to those covered by enrolment and/or registration, deemed of interest to the recipient, through both automated and traditional means, including email and related web applications, based on the expressed consent.
c. Categories of Personal Data
The data processed include personal data and, where applicable, those of family members or cohabitants, directly or indirectly related to the relationship with the Controller.
Identification data, contact data, academic data, financial data, data for access and use of online services, data on participation in university events and activities, data relating to research and development activities, photographs and audio or video recordings, feedback on university courses or services, and health data.

d. Recipients of Personal Data
Within the purposes indicated above, your personal data will or may be communicated to: academic and administrative staff, registration and student office, financial office, student services office (counselling, guidance and assistance), library services, lecturers and researchers, partner companies and employers (internships, training or employment opportunities), certification and qualification bodies (external exams or accreditation organisations), data management and storage systems, governmental authorities and regulatory bodies.
e. Methods of Processing
In relation to the purposes indicated above, the processing of your personal data will be carried out in compliance with the fundamental principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality, using paper, electronic or digital means. The Controller informs that the data provided are processed by authorised persons, both manually and electronically, by entering them in archives (containing paper documents) and in current databases. The Controller and Data Processors adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, in accordance with current legislation.
f. Data Retention Period
For the purposes indicated above, your personal data will be retained for the duration of enrolment and, subsequently, for the time required for the Controller to comply with academic, tax or other legal or regulatory obligations.
For marketing activities, data will be retained for the period related to the purpose for which consent was validly given, and in any case until consent is withdrawn as indicated below.

PRIVACY POLICY
Università degli Studi Link Campus University adopts the necessary measures for the application of European Regulation 2016/679 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and the applicable national legislation, regarding the protection of natural persons with respect to the processing of personal data. Data Controller
The Data Controller is Università degli Studi Link Campus University, represented by its legal representative pro tempore, the President of the Fondazione Link Campus University, domiciled for this purpose at the university’s registered office.
Data Protection Officer (DPO)
The Data Protection Officer is a figure provided for under Article 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. The DPO is appointed by the Controller to perform support, monitoring, advisory, training and information functions regarding the application of the Regulation:
a) informs and advises the Controller as well as employees carrying out processing regarding the obligations under the GDPR and other national or EU data protection provisions;
b) monitors compliance with the GDPR, with other national or EU provisions on data protection, and with the Controller’s or Processor’s internal policies, including allocation of responsibilities, staff awareness and training, and related control activities;
c) provides, if requested, an opinion on the data protection impact assessment and monitors its performance pursuant to Article 35 of the GDPR;
d) cooperates with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali);
e) acts as the contact point for the Data Protection Authority for matters related to processing.
